It is with sadness that the Province has learned of the death of V.W.Bro. Harold Edward Mayne PGMO and PAPGM of the Province of Hampshire & Isle of Wight who passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of this morning aged 98.
I am delighted to announce that I have appointed Worshipful Brother Anthony James Green as Assistant Provincial Grand Master in succession to Very Worshipful Brother William Peter Lewis who will retire from office on 18th April 2020. 
In these unprecedented times where covid-19 is a global crisis, it’s important that we maintain our links and think not just of those Brethren we are used to seeing or hearing from frequently but, perhaps more especially, of those we haven’t seen for some time. The United Grand Lodge of England has been encouraging its members to raise a glass to Absent Brethren at 9pm wherever in the world you maybe.

I appreciate that there is much being circulated during this challenging time with regard to Coronavirus. Please be patient with me but I would like to share some thoughts with you.
Sadly in response to the changing situation relating to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), it was decided to cancel the Ins and Outs Luncheon on Sunday 15 March 2020.  This decision was not taken lightly but in view of the late cancellation by Members who were concerned about the risk of infection it was felt that in the best interests of everyone it was not appropriate to go ahead.
The Norman Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.1279 had a private visit from the Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. George J. Deacon, on Wednesday 4th March where he carried out 2 field promotions to the following worthy brethren of the Norman Lodge;-
