There are many events in life which can lead to the development of anguish, stress and depression. It may occur through a difficult life event like a bereavement or redundancy, relationship problems, upsetting or traumatic experiences which may be recent of have occurred some time ago or just a feeling of low self-esteem, sadness or anger. Provincial Almoners Letter from Andover

Dear Brethren All,

Time marches on and we are now in an Autumnal period, with misty starts to the day and only about 12 hours of daylight. The garden seems now to want to ‚Äúsleep,‚Äù there are still a few blackberries on the bushes but they do not appear to ripen. Potatoes are still being dug but the crop is small this year so tally ho, we look forward to perhaps a better year next year. The lawns have not fully recovered from the beautiful sunshine that we were blessed with and again I must be patient. We have a large fir hedge imposing itself from next door so that needs cutting back, out with the saw and away we will go.

Provincial Almoners Letter from Andover

Dear Brethren All,

Long lived the Queen.” There was not the T.V. coverage that we have today, only the radio to listen to for news.

Provincial Almoners Letter from Andover

Dear Brethren All,

Well, at last we have had some rain for the gardens and to start replenishing the reserves. The lawn is at last,  beginning to return to green in colour although we do have rather a large patch of brown grass in one area. The blackberries continue to bear good fruit so Pat is still making crumbles and jam. Although we have had to cut back a little on making the crumbles as the freezer decided that it has had enough and is not working properly so we have had to purchase a new one, which should be delivered Tuesday. Thankfully we have a daughter living nearby who has been able to store some of the contents from the freezer. This rain has also increased the bird life in the garden. The other morning we watched a large number of sparrows foraging in the lawn for grubs. We have also witnessed starlings doing the same thing. All points to happiness.
