The Worshipful Master, W. Bro. John Sweeting and his Officers Advanced Bro. Geoffrey Cane-Richardson in an excellent ceremony which was thoroughly enjoyed by all the Brethren present. W.Bro. Ken Burbidge, IPM, presented the Signs. Following the Signs W.Bro. John Wildish, Secretary, took the Chair and completed the ceremony and also presented the Working Tools and In Conclusion.
After the Advancement the Worshipful Master W.Bro. John Sweeting returned to the Chair and a presentation was made to W.Bro. John Talbot, the Lodges’ retiring Visiting Grand Officer. He has been a great supporter of the Lodge during his time as VGO. W.Bro. John responded by saying that it had been a delight in being the Lodges Visiting Grand Officer. We later discovered at the Festive Board that it was W.Bro. John‚Äôs birthday this evening.
After the meeting there followed a very good festive board where a cheque for the Mark Benevolent fund was presented by the Worshipful Master to the Provincial Grand Senior Warden. W.Bro. Barry Wilkinson, PGSW, thanked the Lodge for a very generous donation, and everyone for a very enjoyable and friendly evening.
