Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Good morning on this lovely sunny day. I am looking forward to seeing a number of you at the “Ins and Outs” Lunch tomorrow, I will be in the “Out” department. The Mark Grand Lodge appointments have been sent out and I offer my sincerest congratulations to all who have been offered a first appointment or a promotion, I look forward to being in your company at Mark Grand Lodge for your Investiture. It is a great honour and privilege to receive that offer of Appintment, I have been lucky enough to be on that list.
The MBF Festival is getting very close for the Province, you are still able to contribute, if you wish and are able to do so. It promises to be a great weekend, so please, if you have not already done so, please book in.
Our Annual Provincial meeting is also getting closer, 18th April, at Portsmouth, again, I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. I am aware that W. Bro Ian will be working on this the weekend, as will W. Bro. Simon be compiling all the relevant matters.
The garden is looking very colourful with flowers displaying their beautiful splendour. The daffodils and snow drops have and still are magnificent. Even the tulips are flowering so we are looking forward to natures art work for a few months. Potatoes will soon be planted, Pat is hoping that some of our great grandchildren might help with this in order to get them interested in this hobby, without making it a chore but full of joy and wonderment, It is hoped that they will also be helping with sowing some of the seeds. Yesterday we experienced seeing our four year old great grandson in his playgroup Easter show. All of the children had made their own individual Easter bonnets or hats. They entertained us, enthusiastically, with songs which included actions, it was a pleasure to see children having fun.
Please keep those lines of communication open, pick up that phone and contact some brother that you have not seen at Lodge for a while or invite him to join you for a cup of coffee. We are all Almoners at heart. Like some of you Pat and I have been invited to receive our Covid booster and have taken advantage of that offer.
