An entry on the Summons for the 515th meeting of the Clausentum Lodge of MMM, which was held on Wednesday the 16th October read, "Item 4. To present a 50 Year Certificate to W. Bro. William John Moore P.G.J.D." A few words on a summons which held a huge significance.

I take this opportunity of thanking you all for your most generous support for the Hope for Tomorrow appeal. When eight months ago this appeal was launched although we never set a target we did have an expectation; that expectation has been exceeded.

Following our recent presentation of more than ??150,000 to Hope for Tomorrow at our AGM, read more about Hope for Tomorrow and our donation on their website.

During their year in office, the Provincial Wardens, WBro Bob Brown ProvGSW and WBro Jim Donaghy ProvJGW, raised the magnificent sum of ??4,723.  This was added to the provincal appeal in aid of 'Hope for Tomorrow' which provides mobile chemotherapy units.

At the Provincial Meeting of Saturday 20th April, the Provincial Grand Master stunned the Mark Master Masons present by unveiling a cheque for ??83,648.52.  It was a mere eight months ago that the Provincial Executive launched the appeal in aid of 'Hope for Tomorrow' and the generosity of the Mark Master Masons of the Province and the other Orders of Freemasonry in Hampshire & Isle of Wight has been overwhelming.

Each year the Provincial Wardens conduct a raffle (known as the Warden's Swindle) in aid of charity.  This year, the proceeds of the raffle will go to the 'Hope for Tomorrow' campaign the Province is supporting.

On Wednesday 10th April, the Provincial Grand Master attended the ground-breaking ceremony for the new Smile support and care short break respite care centre for severely disabled children and their families.

On the 27th of February 2013 the PGM and the APGM paid a morning visit to Rygor Commercials, Tewkesbury, Glos to meet Clare Cosgrove, the Trust and Corporate Fund Raiser for the 'Hope for Tomorrow' Charity where they were able to view the Hampshire Chemotherapy Unit which was being modified.
