The Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro. George John Deacon, accompanied by the Assistant Provincial Grand Master VW.Bro. W. Peter Lewis and Provincial Officers, visited Stradbroke Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.874 on Friday 21 June 2019 on the occasion of the dedication of their Lodge Honours Board.
The Provincial Grand Master in addressing the Lodge said it was a delight to come along this evening to dedicate this wonderful Honours Board; after 90 years they now have an Honours Board to honour the Founders and Past Masters of the Lodge which they can be proud of. He hopes to be able to come back in 10 years time for Stradbroke’s Lodge Centenary meeting. The Provincial Grand Master thanked W.Bro. Aidan Nally, Provincial Grand Chaplain, for an excellent Oration, W.Bro. Trevor Gulliver, Provincial Grand Organist, for his music and W.Bro. Peter Hill, Past Provincial Assistant Director of Ceremonies who stood in at the last minute to act as the presiding Director of Ceremonies for the evening.
Following the dedication of the Honours Board a number of Lodge members gave an interesting and thoughtful recollection of times gone by in Stradbroke Lodge. The evening was enjoyed by all. It was another excellent turnout by the Provincial Team which consisted of 28 members.
