The Provincial Team attended the 150th Anniversary Meeting of The St Andrew’s Lodge of Mark Masters No 63 at Botley on Tuesday 28th May 2019. Also attending were R.W. Bro. John Herbert Prizeman, Deputy Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Ryan Williams, Grand Secretary, and W.Bro. Jonathon Roberts, DepGDC.
They were made Honorary Members of the Lodge along with The Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro. George John Deacon, The Deputy Provincial Grand Master V. W. Bro. Brian Ridler, The Assistant Provincial Grand Master, V.W. Bro. William Peter Lewis, The Provincial Grand Secretary, W.Bro. Nigel Bell and The Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies W.Bro. Adrian Cleightonhills.
During the ceremony the Grand Secretary, R.W. Bro. Ryan Williams, read the original warrant from 10 June 1863 and the Sesquicentennial Warrant, signed by The Most Worshipful Grand Master His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, GCVO, dated 28 May 2019. The Deputy Grand Master R.W. Bro. John Herbert Prizeman addressed the Lodge and presented the Sesquicentennial Warrant. The minutes of the first regular meeting held on 28 May 1869, held at Bugle Street Southampton were read by the Lodge Secretary and a brief history of the Lodge was also presented. It was an excellent and enjoyable Meeting with not a spare seat in the Lodge room!
There was a packed dining room for the after proceedings at which The Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Kevin Pattinson presented to The Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Bro. George John Deacon a cheque for £1,000 for the Mark Benevolent Fund.
