£1000 to support the local community

Hartley Wintney Women’s Institute meet in a First World War ex-army hut which was originally sited on Salisbury Plain.

The hut is also home to many other local voluntary organisations serving the community and is in desperate need of urgent repairs to a leaking roof. As part of our social awareness responsibilities the Mark Province of Hampshire and Isle of Wight has donated £1,000.00 towards the repairs.

The photo shows Nigel Wilkinson, Provincial Grand Charity Steward, handing over a cheque for £1,000 to Mrs Carol Brown, President of Hartley Wintney Women’s Institute.
