SERV Wessex deliver urgently needed blood, platelets, samples, donated human milk and other medical essentials to hospitals across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire between 7.00p.m. and 6.00a.m. weekdays when normal means of delivery are closed. They also cover weekends and bank holidays throughout the year. In addition they provide a continuous service to replenish the blood carried by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. Tim Bennett the Trustee and Treasurer of SERV Wessex commented that this wonderful donation will be used to help keep their Blood Bikes serviced and ready for action.
Nationally the Mark Benevolent Fund are providing £300,000 to Blood Bike charities throughout England and Wales of which SERV Wessex Blood Runners is part. As the photograph below shows SRV Wessex has already benefitted with a brand new Dacia Duster 4 wheel drive vehicle which will be formally presented at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on 17th August 2018. The vehicle bears the Mark Benevolent Fund logo and is actually called “Mark Mason” which can be seen on the driver’s door. Also shown is one of the Blood Bikes used to provide this vital service.
So both nationally and locally this wonderful charity is benefitting from the generous donations that Mark Master Masons provide!
